This has been a goal of mine to beat still .2 off after last runs.
i had just over 120wkw(heasd gasket went pop on a trackday recently)

Bart,it would be good to see a time for the car as it stands now if you had the time and motivation.

Just wondering, where you got your oil cooler and remote filter setup from bart?

Want to do something very similar with mine

The remote filter mount came from Driven, earls fittings and hose came from cardwells, the cooler and oil thermostat from trademe.

WOW really.... , I thought you had Jun cams ????

Jun cams in a 1.6 Mivec motor will only give you a small gain over factory, they are a very mild cam imo, also just putting a 1.8 bottom end in with a mivec head is an easy way of going backwards, sure you might gain some torque but it will be at the expense of your top end, since Barts car is set up as a race car with very low weight im sure hes after top end, who cares about anything under 5-6k

On another note that 14.01 still hasnt been beaten in NZ as far as im aware :D Which just goes to show how well Barts set up is

Hey Cameron, I have my doubts about the 1.8 conversion also however I have seen some good results too but I guess at the end of the day the only thing i have seen is other people's dyno results.. . The thing with the 1.8 conversion is most just bolt it together and then wonder why they have lost power. If tuned correctly with a standalone then it should go well especially if in conjunction with other mods.

No doubt Barts car is a very quick one, just expected that with a time like 14.01 the power would have been higher as the stock power at the flywheel should be around 170.

I did that 14.01 with stock camshafts  Only Mods where the usual HEI mods, and a bit of weight reduction. The ECU would have been re-chipped too. Tuning the length of exhaust and inlet tract are important to getting a nice shaped power curve.

Dyno results rarely tell the whole story about a cars overall performance. There is more to making a fast car than a high 'peak' dyno reading, I'd take a wide fat powerband over a thin peaky one any day.

Nice Bart, Stock cams for the win.. . So technically you should be able to do a faster time now.. :D . How different did the car feel once you fitted the Jun cam's? Im starting to form the opinion that the mivec seems to go better with the regular kind of mods, Headers, port and polish, cams, intake ect, rather than going for some crazy hybrid setup.

It feels way faster than a standard car but it might be a bit deceptive because of all the noise

Not had an update for a while. It hasn't had much development for a while but I've just about finished the fiberglass bonnet and my 4 year old boy has been helping making it look more  'awesome'

a good helper  My son has 4.5 years old, and also loves cars :)

I do not know if it was such a question, what power/torque you have at the moment mirage?
