Hay All

I brought this car 6 months ago for 600 bucks, runs ok ish but think it used to be a 4G92 non Mivec in its day and someone has put a 4G92 Mivec in it. Goes ok, but when it hits about 5k in revs the engine screams like the Mivec is working maybe but it doesnt get up and go and when it gets to about 6.5k in revs it somes like the engine guna fly apart.

What the sensor is coming out of the Head/Rocker cover in the half moon piece of plastic on the gearbox side?

Also can anyone tell me what the computer is for running Mivec or Non Mivec?

Computer numbers are MD178330
E2T38372
2ZO8 M

Also it has a AFM right by the Air filter like a 4G92 Non Mivec.

Will try and get some pictures up.......

Can a EFI computer tuning shop wire up the Mivec and get it running?

if you install a mivec ecu, you will need to wire it in to the mivec sensor/actuators.
The mivec runs a MAP sensor rather than an AFM so not sure how it will run if you do that.
The other option is to look at some sort of piggy back mivec acuation system. not my area of expertise but im sure Rabbit or Bart will know if such a thing can be done.

Hey there. If you did buy a new ECU, is there any chance you still have the old non-mivec one (MD178330) and be willing to sell it? I need one and cant find anywhere

Cheers
Nick
