After a short wait (2 weeks) my custom made 19m rear swaybar has been finished and is now fitted. Its made a huge difference to cornering, the car is now almost understeer free. In the wet it may even be tail happy. It has 3 ajustment holes like cusco one but they are spaced out alot more. The adjustment is going to be a little far on the final hole for the stock links but I think its going to be stiff enough on the lowest setting anyway. |

two cable to the shifter removed (one to brake that unclips, one to the ign key that is 1 bolt and 2small screws) and the pedal box (accel and brake) swapped over. bolt up job so far, no holes until the clutch pedal and cylinder. NOTE: you can not just swap the pedal as the brake switch bracket does not match. The brake switch got adjusted so you can only move the pedal 2mm before the lights come on. the factory setting is ~10mm, bugger that in auckland traffic. |

And after a trip to revolution race gear to get the foam. You get a gutted looking car. The interior will go back in after the cert next week so they can inspect the welding etc. ![]() ![]() ![]() I'll get better photos when i can see what i'm aiming the camera at. |

Nice half cage. Workmanship looks nice and tidy. I assume you need the cert for other items, as you only need a Motorsport Authority Card for the rollcage/modified interior. |

Its what LTSA call a 'rollbar with front intrusions' and just needs a cert not a MSNZ authority needed. Wouldn't pass MSNZ anyway as i didn't want the rear diagonal brace. But it can be converted to a full cage if required. I needed to re-cert for the manual gearbox so i though why not get the rollbar added in at the same time. Oh and it has to be re-classed as a two seater. |

MNZ won't let you do MNZ events without a MNZ approved cage though will they? It's either "no cage" or their cage I believe?? And as soon as you get a cage you need a MNZ log book too. Don't worry its cheap enough. |

I'm counted as a no cage at offical events i think. So I can't take passengers etc but its a wof'd and reg'd road car so I don't see why its different from a scratch built Lvvta certed car. |

comphy dailly......with a cage? how stiff is the car on normal roads now? is it still properly driveable without getting out and feeling tired/sore? |

Yeah its better than the stock shocks were, though they were so hard the lower arms had to be removed to get them out. Can always turn down the rears to soft. Its 2 turns down on the back and the full 5 down on the front. The race seats make it nicer to drive for short trips but longer rides aren't as good as the seat doesn't allow you to move around at all. |

Cert'ed with race seat, cusco lower chassis bar and half cage. Even had harnesses in and tucked through the seats, but you're not allowed to wear them while on the road but they can be in the car. |

Ok so the car now has pod fiter and wrapped alloy intake pipe. And has the red ralliart mudflaps on the front but they rub all the time as the car is so low. 63mm throttlebody and SARD fuel reg about to go in. ![]()

Forgot it needs 4 new tyres and an oil change. It has 2 c-drive at 2.5mm and some toyos that are like driving on ice the whole time. Hopefully it'll be on the dyno at the end of this week, just haveto get work out of the way first. And the LSD should be going back in soon, just need to check the case welding is sound and not going to leak and replace all the bearings. Haltech is more for the next engine and car but no point having it sit around. It has the boost controller solenoid with it to keep the wastegatefrom opening early. |
